A celebration of young North East talent.

Youth Theatre groups, Colleges and Schools from across the region will take to the stage at Newcastle Theatre Royal as part of the National Theatre Connections Festival – the National Theatre’s annual nationwide youth theatre programme.

Local young people aged 13 to 19 will perform a selection of brand-new plays written especially for young performers by leading playwrights. Expect bold storytelling, powerful ideas and fresh perspectives as the next generation of theatre-makers step into the spotlight.

Connections has been championing talent for over 30 years and gives thousands of young people the opportunity to perform on professional stages across the country each year.

These are performances by young people, staged in our main theatre and offer audiences the chance to support emerging talent and young performers from across the North East.
