Covid-19 Secure Service: We are See it Safety approved. Our staff will be wearing face coverings and practice the highest standards of food hygiene. There is a queuing system in place to ensure social distances can be maintained with floor markings to guide you. Screens have been installed at the bars and kiosks to protect both customers and staff, and we now operate a cashless contactless payment service.
Bar Opening Times: Foyer bars and kiosks are open from 1 hour before the start of the performance until the end of the interval. The bars may close during the performance so be sure to get what you need before the show starts. Staff will be selling ice creams and confectionery inside the auditorium during the interval.
Menu: We sell a range of confectionery, snacks, soft and alcoholic drinks. Our ice creams and pops supplied by Marshfield farm are all organic (and fully recyclable) and we have a dairy free option too.
Beat the Interval Rush: Order drinks for when you arrive or beat the interval rush and pre-order your drinks and snacks. You can do this using one of pre-order QR codes located around the building or order directly with staff at the bar before the start of the show. Your freshly prepared drinks will be waiting for you at one of our collection points.
Ice Cream Vouchers: Customers who have purchased ice cream vouchers can redeem these at the foyer kiosks. If you have a group voucher, speak to a member of staff and we will arrange delivery of all of your ice-creams for you to distribute. Group pre-orders must be placed at least 7 days in advance of your visit.
Inside the Auditorium: Drinks, confectionary and snacks can be taken into the auditorium for most performances. Hot drinks must be in a cup with a secure lid, and all other drinks must be in a either plastic cup or bottle. Hot food is not permitted inside the auditorium. Please decant confectionery and snacks into one of our sharing cups (available free when purchasing from the bars and kiosks) to avoid rustling of wrappers during the performance. We ask that all audience members consume food and drink items with consideration for others.
Payment: We are now a cashless operation and no longer accept cash for any products. All sales points are equipped with contactless payment facilities, and we also accept Apple and Google pay. Theatre Royal gift vouchers can be used to purchase food, drinks and merchandise for most productions (ask staff at the venue for more details).
