Ticketing

Postage: Postage charges apply for any tickets or Gift Vouchers that are mailed out.

Ticket Exchanges: Tickets cannot be refunded.  At the management’s discretion, tickets may be exchanged up to 24hrs before a performance, subject to availability.  Must be for the same production and any difference in value must be paid for.  The Fee is £1.50 per ticket.  Friends of the Theatre Royal can receive a credit note up to 24hrs before the performance.

Payment: We accept most major credit and debit cards, however we no longer accept cheque payments due to the Cheque Guarantee Scheme closing on 30 June 2011.

Mobile Ticketing: Your ticket will be an email with a QR code. There is no additional charge for this and tickets do not need to be printed; simply present your phone to show the email to our staff when you arrive. Mobile tickets will be emailed, and available online 30 days before the performance date. Tickets can be added to your Apple or Google wallet from 30 days before the performance date. If you accidentally delete your ticket email you can log in to your account to retrieve it.

If you do not have a smart phone, you are able to print your tickets at home. Please also take a look at our FAQs for more information.

Refunds & Exchanges: We understand that sometimes life gets in the way of attending our performances. We have partnered with a third party provider Booking Protect to offer our customers comprehensive refund protection cover.

Please see our Terms & Conditions for further information.

Cautionary Advice: There has been an increase recently in the number of secondary agent websites offering tickets for events at ‘premium’ prices.  Customers should be aware if they choose to book from these sellers they may pay vastly inflated prices. You are to buy only from ourselves, or officially approved agents of national tours. If in doubt please check with the Box Office as to which agents are officially approved and the face value of tickets offered for sale.  Newcastle Theatre Royal Trust does not accept any responsibility for tickets purchased from secondary agents.
