* Friends’ discount available on Superseats and price bands 1 – 4 only (exceptions apply). Occasionally there may be shows where the ticket discount will be less than 20% (for Opera North the discount is 10%) or not apply at all. ** 20% off drinks for Friends – applies only to the Friend’s drink and excludes promotional offers. Only available at Theatre Royal theatre bars and not available in Dat Bar. ***Friends of the Theatre Royal can receive a credit note up to 24 hours before the performance.

Please Note: Memberships can only be sent to the billing address. Membership cards will be issued with card payers details printed on the card. For gift memberships, please call the Box Office on 0191 232 7010.

Customers have a 14-day cooling off period if you have booked via our website or over the phone. A full refund will be given if you choose to cancel your membership and any tickets or other purchases made during this time will also be cancelled and refunded. Click here to complete a cancellation form and email it to boxoffice@theatreroyal.co.uk.

Friends’ Events

Theatre Royal Friends’ events organised by the Friends Committee are fundraising events; the aim of these events is to raise funds to support the activities of Newcastle Theatre Royal Trust and its users. Please note that the Theatre Royal acts only as a ticket agent for these events and any queries should be made directly to the Friends Committee by emailing membership@theatreroyal.co.uk.
