Youth Company

TRY Youth Company is for young people aged 14-19 to explore their creativity, connect with others, and take their acting to the next level!

Youth Company is designed specifically for young actors who want to develop their skills to pursue careers in performance. Work together for a season of rep (repertory) and perform a large-scale main stage production of a brand-new play as part of our National Theatre Connections Festival in April 2027.

Youth Company is delivered in weekly, 2-hour sessions (Tuesday evenings) with auditions held in September. It is held across 3 terms – Term 3 is optional.

Term One: Nov – Dec
Term Two:  Jan – Mar
Term Three: Apr – Jul

Throughout the 3 terms, Youth Company will create an ensemble, learn acting techniques, perform, work with visiting practitioners to develop core performance and industry skills, such as audition technique and voice and movement for the actor, to prepare them for further training or work in the industry.
