Discounts available on Superseats and price bands 1 – 4 only (exceptions apply). Occasionally there may be shows where the ticket discount will be less than 20% for Friends and Friends Plus (for Opera North the discount is 10%) be removed, or not apply at all. 20% off drinks for Friends and Friends Plus excludes promotional offers and champagne. Credit notes and ticket exchange can be applied, up to 24 hours before the performance. Occasionally there may be shows which don’t have programmes, or programmes are not made available to the theatre, for pre-sale. Customers have a 14-day cooling off period if you have booked via our website or over the phone. Please see full membership terms and conditions for more details. Drinks vouchers, if applicable, applies to house spirits (vodka, gin, rum, whiskey) with draught mixer, pint of Camden Hells, pint of cider, bottle of Peroni, bottle zero alcohol Peroni, 125ml of house red, white or rose wine, draft soft drinks. Products/brands subject to availability. The voucher can be redeemed at theatre bars only.
Priority booking periods: Our different levels of membership allow for varying priority booking periods for our pantomime and major seasonal on sales with tickets made available in the following order – Friends Plus (1st release), Friends (2nd release), Flexi Priority Pass (3rd release) and General (4th release). We reserve the right to adjust the priority booking periods for smaller or individual on sales.
Friends Plus includes a suggested donation of £70 which, as a registered charity that receives no regular funding, will help support the future of Newcastle Theatre Royal. The donation portion is a suggested donation to which Gift Aid provisions apply, but you may purchase the benefits package separately for the minimum payment without making any further donation.
Please Note: Memberships can only be sent to the billing address. Membership cards will be issued with card payers details printed on the card. For gift memberships, please call the Box Office on 0191 232 7010.
Customers have a 14-day cooling off period if you have booked via our website or over the phone. A full refund will be given if you choose to cancel your membership and any tickets or other purchases made during this time will also be cancelled and refunded. Friends’ Events
Theatre Royal Friends’ events organised by the Friends Committee are fundraising events; the aim of these events is to raise funds to support the activities of Newcastle Theatre Royal Trust and its users. Please note that the Theatre Royal acts only as a ticket agent for these events and any queries should be made directly to the Friends Committee by emailing membership@theatreroyal.co.uk.
