STAGE YOUR WEDDING AT THE THEATRE ROYAL

Now fully licenced for civil ceremonies, we are delighted to be able to offer the Theatre Royal’s magical setting for your wedding. Taking your vows in our splendid building steeped in atmosphere and glamour will be an unforgettable experience for you and your guests. Our Foyer areas, Suites and Auditorium with forestage (when available) will offer a stunning backdrop for your ceremony.

2016 PRICES
Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri = £2500 including VAT 
Sunday =  £4000 including VAT 
(Unfortunately, we do not usually offer Thursday or Saturday weddings)

Price includes venue hire, ushers and sound and lighting for weddings held in the auditorium
Price includes the use of the Theatre until 5.30pm*
Price does not include the cost of the registrar
We are usually unable to offer evening receptions but are happy to make recommendations

(* Please note that due to performances this may not include access to the auditorium.)

WEDDING MENUS
Our recommended caterers can work with you to produce a menu that reflects your personal culinary tastes.
We can cater for a wedding breakfast for a maximum of 50 guests (minimum of 30) in our Olivier Suite and/or provide post ceremony drinks and canapés in our Grand Circle Foyer for 150 Guests Maximum.

FAQ

Can I use confetti?
Only outside the Theatre entrance

Can I have candles/ tea lights? 
No - we can't have any flames in the building.  However, we do allow battery-operated tealights.

Can I dress the venue?

Can I bring a wedding cake? 
Yes

Do you have a cake stand and knife? 
No, sorry.

Can we use outside caterers?
We do have a recommended caterer, however on occasion we can consider alternative suppliers. 

Do you have wheelchair access to the auditorium, Olivier Suite and Grand Circle Bar? 
Yes


TERMS & CONDITIONS
Deposits and Bookings

Bookings will be treated as provisional until written confirmation is sent by the client to the Theatre.

This should be within 14 days of the provisional booking and include a non-refundable deposit of £250.00 (N.B. £250 deposit will only be returned should another booking be secured for the cancelled date.)

The theatre will respond within 14 days with an event confirmation contract including full terms and conditions.  This will include any terms and conditions for catering or additional room or service charges outside the ceremony itself.

Final payment is required no later than 21 days prior to the wedding.

In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel the booking please contact the theatre in writing.

Charges for catering with our preferred supplier will be applicable via the following notification period:
25% 63 days to 6 months prior to the wedding
50% 28 days to 62 days prior to the wedding
70% 15 to 27 days prior to the wedding.
100% 14 days or less prior to the wedding.
