Maintenance Engineer   
Salary:           £27,885
Hours:           39 hours Mon – Fri  (Occasional evening and weekend work may be required)

Newcastle Theatre Royal Trust is an independent charity that runs Newcastle Theatre Royal and, from April 2016, Newcastle City Hall.  The 2016 winner of the Most Welcoming Theatre, North East award, we are committed to giving the highest quality of welcome and of service to everyone, on-stage and off.
 
The successful applicant will ensure that the Theatre Royal and City Hall buildings are maintained to a high standard to ensure the buildings function safely, efficiently and effectively, commensurate with their listed building status and the expectations of the public and performers.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Formal electro / mechanical apprenticeship
- 17th Edition electrical qualification
- Strong background in mechanical / electrical fault finding / diagnosis
- An ability to work under pressure
- Efficiency and organisation
- The ability to train, coach, lead and motivate others
- Analysis of repetitive equipment failures
- Forecasting of spare parts
- Assessing the needs for equipment replacements and establish replacement programs when due
- Assessing and reporting safety hazards associated with the buildings and equipment
