Stage Door Keepers
Salary: £9.50 per hour
Start date: 14 June (induction and training)

Newcastle Theatre Royal Trust invites applications for Stage Door Keepers to ensure visitors and staff at the Theatre Royal Stage Door are met with the highest possible levels of care, attention and courtesy, and to provide effective Stage Door security and services.
Role 1 Stage Door Keeper
20 hours per week plus cover – 4 x 5 hour shifts (must be able to work regular weekends and evenings)
Role 2 Stage Door Keeper
15 hours per week plus cover – 3 x 5 hour shifts (must be able to work regular weekends and evenings)
Role 3 Stage Door Keeper
10 hours per week plus cover – 2 x 5 hour shifts (must be able to work regular weekends and evenings)
Person Specification:
The post holder should:
- Be personable and presentable
- Be committed to Customer Care and have the ability to work with diverse customers
- Have a friendly and helpful manner in person and on the phone
- Possess tact, discretion, honesty and diplomacy
- Have basic IT skills and be computer literate
- Be able to communicate with people at all levels
The Theatre has a 7 day operation as per the needs of the performance schedule. The standard Stage Door rota is Monday-Saturday with overnight cover as required. Weekend work will be on a fixed rolling rotation. Please note that cover shifts will include Sunday working and may also include some overnight work. Applicants will be asked to submit shift availability prior to interview.
