A look at the various ways of amplifying your band. We will identify the various types of microphones available and practical exercises will give you the chance to mic up a drum kit and hear the results. |

SUMMER SCHOOL: Rambert Youth Dance Summer School |

14 –18 years. Mon 28 Jul – Fri 1 Aug, 10am-4pm. £75 per participant.
Led by a Rambert Animateur young dancers will take part in daily contemporary dance classes and creative workshops based on current Rambert repertoire.
Participants must have previous dance experience. |

SUMMER SCHOOL: Sounds Aloud Music Workshop Week |
| |
14 years +. Mon 28 Jul–Fri 1 Aug, 1pm-4pm. £55 per participant.
Experience the rhythms and instruments of Africa, Europe, Cuba and Brazil. Learn Kpanlogo party drumming from Ghana and its relationship to traditional Cuban hand-drumming. Each session will concentrate on one of the above and give participants as much hands-on experience as possible.
Instruments are provided by Sounds Aloud but please bring your favourite drum if you have one! |

SUMMER SCHOOL: Twisted Tales |

12-16 year olds. Mon 4 –9 Aug, 10am-4pm. £75 per participant.
Explore some of Grimms’ darker fairytales through the combination of drama, movement and live music. You will work with a director, movement co-ordinator and two musicians to create and perform in an integrated performance. This six day course will culminate in a performance on the Saturday evening in the Learning Studio.
