OPERA NORTH

Presents

GIULIO CESARE

By Handel

"Love triumphant"

Experience an opera with all the colour, drama, passion and epic sweep of a Hollywood blockbuster in this story of Cleopatra’s seduction of Julius Caesar. Murder, battles, plots and counterplots ensue before Caesar and Cleopatra emerge finally triumphant in both love and war. Handel lavished some of his most exciting and seductive music on a score in which every number seems jewel-like in its perfection.

Mezzo Soprano Kathryn Rudge will sing the role of Sesto.

Sung in Italian with English titles
